A GREAT Nephew & A GREAT Aunt-Episode 4-Poetry Friday

Ants may rule the hill, but they don’t rule here! Art by Landon (Click to Enlarge)

It’s time for another episode of A GREAT Nephew & A GREAT Aunt. I, the GREAT Aunt, team up with Landon, the GREAT nephew, to bring you, our GREAT readers, a-picture-with-a-poem sort of thing. In each episode, I write a poem and Landon illustrates my poem. And I must mention that Landon is a fifth grader. Yes! A fifth grader drew our amazing banner! Today is Episode 4. If you missed previous episodes, you can view them by clicking below.
Episode 1: An Adventuresome Moose
Episode 2: Robot Repair
Episode 3: OUCH!

For today’s episode, I have a poem for the season and Landon’s illustration has his special touch that brings my words to life.

Episode 4: Frolicking Foliage

That’s one magical pencil sharpener, isn’t it? I’m going to have to ask Landon where I can get one!

Thanks to all of you who joined us for Episode 4 of A GREAT Nephew & A GREAT Aunt. See you back for Episode 5 in two weeks 🙂

  1. It’s amazing what a good illustrator can bring to the text – something the author probably never thought of, but it adds so much. I really liked this Penny, and Landon!

  2. Clever poem, clever illustration. Love how your rhymes frolic down the page and how Nephew’s pencil shavings become tumbling fall leaves! What a pair you are!
