A to Z Poetry Challenge Day 10: Be An Author!

It’s Day 10 of Rena Traxel‘s A to Z Poetry Challenge. Since J is the 10th letter of the alphabet, we are challenged to do a jingle today. Jingles should promote something. Something great! So, I thought of something that is awesomely, majorly, astonishingly, unbelievably, amazingly great. The 12 x 12 in 12 Challenge!!!! The 12 x 12 in 12 Challenge is organized by Julie Hedlund over at her blog Write Up My Life!

On to the jingle…It’s to the tune of Dr. Pepper’s, Be a Pepper song. Since I’m not going to sing it for you, you will have to play this YouTube video and sing along yourself…substituting my words, of course:-)

Be An Author

We’re writing picture books and we’re proud.
We’re hangin’ with the 12 x 12 crowd.
And if you look ‘round you’ll say,
‘There seems to be a story-writing craze!”
I’m an author, he’s an author, she’s an author, we’re an author.
Wouldn’t you like to be an author, too.
I’m an author, he’s an author, she’s an author
If you are writing, well then you’re an author, too.

  13. Totally love it! I remember this jingle tune and occasionally sing it to my kids (which they think is totally weird :)) so thank you for being responsible for getting it stuck in my head now! 🙂
